The Carmine at Old Farm

Sep 19, 2018 | Gallery of Projects

We want to thank everyone who came out to see our 2018 Festival of Homes entry, The Carmine at Old Farm. We enjoyed talking to you about the home and the finishes that were incorporated into the home. The best comments to us were that the home is “very livable”, an “age in place” home, “the hallway is so wide, it makes the home feel bigger”. Those comments meant that we got our message across. A home doesn’t have to be huge to be livable. The floor plan has wider doorways for wheelchair access, enough room in the kitchen for several people to be in the room at once, and the wide hallway allows for easier traffic flow. There aren’t any stairs going into or out of any of the exterior doors.

Backyard Entertaining

The backyard was designed for easy maintenance and entertainment. The covered patio is large enough for family barbeques and still cozy enough to enjoy reading a good book on a sunny day. The yard is large enough for Badminton, Ladder toss, Corn Toss, or any number of lawn games your family likes.
